How to Create User Role Templates
Updated over a year ago

User Role templates are a fast and easy way to spin up user permissions for new projects and productions.

In this article:

Step 1: Create a User Role That Will Be Your Template

For instructions on creating user roles see these articles:

Any user role can be made into a template, but when setting up your CORE system, we recommend defining a base set of user roles that you can use as templates.

  1. These roles should be named Template_Role Description.

  2. The Role Info page should be complete.

3. If applicable, View and Edit Access Rules should be created, generically named, and the tags selected. Conditions and values will be empty until applied to an actual production or business group.

4. A User Access Rule should be created with its conditions left empty to be added on creation.

Step 2: Save That User Role to Your User Role Templates Folder

Select the role or roles you want to save to your own user role templates.

  6. Save it
