Core 7.4.2 Release Notes

Updated this week

Backend Performance Improvements

This update delivers major backend improvements designed to make Core faster, more stable, and more responsive under heavy workloads. While these changes happen behind the scenes, they significantly improve how quickly users can browse, search, download, and manage assets—especially in large productions.

  • Faster Search & Browsing
Optimized Elasticsearch calls and caching now deliver faster results when browsing large productions or complex folder structures.

  • Smarter User Data Handling
Core now retrieves user data more efficiently and tracks data versioning to prevent delays or redundant calls—especially valuable for large organizations with thousands of users.

  • Improved System Responsiveness
Backend optimizations across the Users module and authentication layer reduce latency during login, uploads, and asset access.

  • Faster Downloads & Exports
File and package downloads process more quickly, with new handling logic for large download groups to shorten wait times and improve reliability.

  • Enhanced API Stability
Action logging and API requests are now decoupled to prevent slowdowns during heavy usage periods, improving consistency for high-volume workflows.

  • More Reliable Production Management
Backend updates ensure smoother performance when renaming productions, managing tags, or performing other large-scale metadata operations.
