Core 7.3 Release Notes

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Core 7.3 introduces a fresh new look. The updated UI is cleaner and easier to use, and the new Core Themes feature lets you switch between light and dark mode. You'll also notice a slick new Share icon, plus a bunch of behind-the-scenes bug fixes to keep things running smoothly.

Performance and Experience Improvements

  • A refreshed look.
Core 7.3 keeps all the same functionality you know, but with a UI refresh that sets the stage for future improvements. The updated design is cleaner, makes better use of space to highlight your assets, and starts to improve UI performance. Additional feature updates to improve the user experience and UI performance enhancements are planned for future releases.

  • Light or dark? You choose with Core Themes.
You can now easily switch between light and dark themes using the Theme icon (☼) at the bottom of the left navigation menu. Core defaults to Light mode when you first launch it, but your theme choice will be remembered the next time you log in.

Example: File Search View

  • The Share icon got a glow-up.
We’ve refreshed the Share icon to better match the new UI. It’s the same functionality you’re used to — just with a sleeker, updated look.

  • List Mode significantly upgraded.
The new List Mode table is built on newer technology and delivers a cleaner, more user-friendly experience. While the core functionality remains the same with the added benefit that you can drag and drop your columns in whatever order you want, this upgrade lays the groundwork for smarter asset tracking and more powerful list features.

  • Recipients Panel user lists default to open.
When reviewing past package shares, recipient lists now start open, so you can see them right away. Package info stays pinned to the top so key details are always in view.

Bug Fixes and Technical Updates

We squashed some bugs and made technical updates to improve reliability and experience across the board:

  • New users added via a package share are now directed straight to the package after signing up.

  • The login page now loads properly in Safari on Mac and mobile.

  • When selecting individual assets for download, Download WITH Watermark now shows up correctly.

  • PDF proxies have been fixed for better text clarity.

  • Client NDA updates are now accurately reflected for all site users.

  • Assets uploaded to an existing group now appear together with existing ones in File Search.

  • The player now accurately reflects the timecode when jumping back and forth using the scrub bar and when using the framestepping tool.
