Package Recipients Panel

Updated this week

The Package Recipients Panel provides a detailed, interactive view of everyone who has received a package you are viewing in CORE. It supports powerful search and filtering, shows recipient-level permissions and activity, and makes it faster to manage access for large or complex recipient lists.

Why use the Recipients Panel?

The Recipients Panel now solves the key workflows that package senders and managers perform most often:

  • Quickly find a specific recipient and see their current permissions and activity

  • Understand how a package was shared with each individual

  • Identify who can download, modify, comment, or forward content

  • Bulk manage recipients, including removing access when needed

  • Refine the list using search and filters by settings such as package type, permissions, restrictions, and download options

These improvements make the Recipients Panel more usable and informative than earlier versions that listed only basic metadata. The redesign turns it into a true management view.

Opening the Recipients Panel

To open the Recipients Panel:

  1. Navigate to a package in the Package Viewer.

  2. Select the Recipients icon.

  3. The panel will slide out, showing a list of all recipients with details.

What you’ll see

Basic recipient card

Sender card - Senders cannot be deleted from a package

Expanded recipient card

User identity

  • Name and email address (including multiple email visibility on hover where applicable)

  • Guest users display with their email and a “Guest User” designation

  • Users Added via Email who haven’t yet accepted their Core invite will appear with their email and an “Added via Email” designation

Package activity and timing

  • First viewed: The date/time the user first accessed the package (if viewed)

  • Last viewed: The date/time the user last accessed the package (if viewed)

  • Start and End dates: The time window the recipient has access (if applied)

Permissions and settings

These are shown only if selected on the share and clearly organized:

  • Download permissions (and download options like quality or watermarks)

  • Forward (package)

  • Modify (package contents and order)

  • Commenting disabled (commenting is on by default)

  • Hide users (controls whether recipients see each other)

  • Limit downloads (counts if set)

Package type

Shows the type of package (e.g., Standard share, Approval, Autoplay, Download) that is active for that recipient.

Search and filters

At the top of the panel is a search bar that lets you type to filter recipients by name or email instantly. As you type, the list refines in real time to match your search.

Below the search bar are filter options allowing you to narrow recipients by:

  • Package type

  • Permissions (e.g., can forward, can download)

  • Restrictions (e.g., no comments, hide users)

  • Download settings (e.g., specific quality or watermark choices)

Filters can be combined with search to find exactly the set of recipients you’re interested in.

Viewing and reviewing permissions

Each user card can be expanded to show all selected package settings for that recipient. This helps answer questions such as:

  • “Did this person get download access?”

  • “What watermark level is applied for them?”

  • “Can they forward this package?”

  • “When did they last view the content?”

If a field or permission was not selected when the package was shared, it will not appear in the expanded view—reducing clutter and focusing attention only on what matters.

Managing recipients

The Recipients Panel supports recipient management tasks directly:

  • Select one or more recipients using the checkboxes beside each card.

  • When one or more users are selected:

    • A counter shows how many are chosen.

    • Select All and Clear selection controls help manage selections.

    • A Remove User(s) action lets you revoke access for all selected recipients at once.

Note: Removed user tracking (e.g., marking removed in the panel) depends on backend support and may be enhanced further once API tracking for removed and revoked Visitor Links is available.

How this works with Shared With

The Recipients Panel works closely with the Shared With area in the package header:

  • View All in Shared With opens the Recipients Panel with all recipients listed.

  • If you search for a user in Shared With and select View All, the Recipients Panel opens with the same search applied.

  • If you open the Recipient Preview for one user in Shared With and choose to view details, the Recipients Panel opens with that user at the top and expands.

This coordination ensures consistent workflows whether you start from a quick glance in Shared With or jump directly into detailed management.

Tips for using the Recipients Panel

  • Search first when you know a name or email—it’s often faster than scrolling.

  • Combine search + filters to find recipients with specific access rights (e.g., all users with download enabled).

  • Expand only the cards you need to keep the view focused, especially with long lists.

Use bulk removal carefully and confirm selections before taking action.

Step-by-step examples: Using the Recipients Panel

Example 1: Find a specific recipient and review their permissions

Use this when:

You want to understand how a package was shared with one person, what permissions they received, and whether they’ve viewed it.

Steps

  1. Open the package you want to review.

  2. Select the Recipients icon to open the Recipients Panel.

  3. In the Search bar, start typing the recipient’s name or email.

    • The list refines automatically as you type.

  4. Locate the recipient in the list and expand their card.

  5. Review the recipient’s details, including:

    • Package type

    • Selected permissions (only those that apply)

    • Restrictions and download settings

    • First viewed and Last viewed activity (if applicable)

Result

You can clearly see:

  • Whether the user has viewed the package

  • When they last viewed it

  • Exactly what access and restrictions they received

Example 2: Identify recipients based on access rules using filters

Use this when:

You need to find everyone who matches a specific condition, such as users who can download, users with restricted access, or users on a specific package type.

Steps

  1. Open the Recipients Panel from the package.

  2. Select Filters at the top of the panel.

  3. Choose one or more filter options, such as:

    • Package type

    • Permissions (e.g., forwarding, modify)

    • Restrictions (e.g., no comments, hide users)

    • Download settings or download options

  4. (Optional) Combine filters with the Search bar to narrow results further.

  5. Review the refined list of recipients that match your criteria.

Result

Only recipients who match the selected settings appear, making it easy to:

  • Audit access

  • Validate sharing rules

  • Prepare for bulk actions

Example 3: Remove one or more recipients from a package

Use this when:

You need to revoke access for one person or multiple recipients at once.

Steps

  1. Open the Recipients Panel.

  2. Use Search or Filters to locate the recipient(s).

  3. Select the checkbox next to one or more recipients.

  4. Review the selection counter at the top or bottom of the panel.

  5. Select Remove User(s).

  6. Confirm the action if prompted.

Result

The selected recipients no longer have access to the package.

Tip: You can use Select All to choose everyone in the current filtered list, or Clear selection to reset before taking action.

Example 4: Jump from Shared With to full recipient details

Use this when:

You start with a quick check in Shared With and need full details for one person.

Steps

  1. In the package header, locate the Shared With section.

  2. Hover over (or tap) a recipient to open the Recipient Preview.

  3. Review key details such as package type and last viewed.

  4. Select View user settings.

  5. The Recipients Panel opens with:

    • The selected recipient at the top

    • Their card expanded to show full settings

Result

You move seamlessly from a quick at-a-glance check to the complete permission and activity view for that recipient.

Best practices

  • Start with Shared With for quick status checks, then move to the Recipients Panel for full detail.

  • Use Search first when you know who you’re looking for.

  • Combine Search + Filters to handle large recipient lists efficiently.

  • Expand only the recipient cards you need to keep the panel easy to scan.

Double-check selections before removing users, especially when using Select All.
