This article will break down how to share packages with other users in CORE.
Share Files and Packages From Wherever You're Working in CORE
The Share Icon (below) can be used from multiple locations in CORE for sharing a package.
File Search
Share an Asset Group
In File Search, you will find the the icon to the right of the Asset Group name. This will share all the assets in the selected asset group.
Share Multiple Assets Across Groups
To select individual assets or choose from various asset groups, click the checkbox for each asset you want to share, then click on the icon at the top right of the page to share your assets.
Asset and Package Viewer
Share an Asset Group or Entire Package
In the Asset viewer, you can find the share icon to the right on the top bar. This is the same icon and location to reshare a package from within an existing package.
Asset Player
Share a File / Asset
In the Asset player, you can find the share icon in the top bar, to the right of the filename.
Package Inbox
Share a Package or Multiple Packages
From your Inbox, click the checkbox next to an item or multiple items. Once checked, the share icon will appear in the top right of the Package Inbox.
Package Panel
Once you've created a package in the package panel, you can share directly from the Package Panel.
Go to Creating and Modifying Packages, to modify the assets in your Package Share.
Sharing Your Package
Once you select Share, the Share panel will open.
NOTE: There are not yet "Drafts" in the Share panel, so be ready to share your package when you hit the Share icon. If you are waiting for files or plan to modify your package files prior to sharing it, see Creating and Modifying Packages.
Select image to zoom.
1. Select the Package Type
Next, select the type of package to be shared. Each type of package fulfills a slightly different purpose.
The Package type option can be viewed in two different ways depending upon the view mode selected.
If the list view is selected, then the package type will be displayed in a list form below.
If the tiled view is selected, then package type options will be shown below.
Standard Package
The Standard Package opens to a view of all files in the package with the comment panel enabled. Everyone on the share can collaborate and comment with each other in this panel.
Autoplay
This package launches the recipient directly into the player with the first file open. Only the sender can see who is included in the share.
Approval Package
Thumbs Up / Thumbs Down
This package opens to a view of all files, with the approval panel enabled. Everyone on the share is visible, but each person can only see approvals based on their role and setting done for them before sharing a package
Customizable Statuses (For select CORE version only)
On Status Approval packages, the sender can choose the status type as per need. The recipient will see status options to choose from on each file and can take action accordingly.
To choose the approval type, first select the Approval package type. Then choose the status type in the dropdown menu.
Thumbs Up/Down : Recipient accepts or rejects the package with Thumbs Up/Down option
Statuses: A single recipient decision maker selects from one of the status tag options. Example shown below.
Sync Review or Review Mode (site dependent)
This package enables a real-time, hosted review. Recipients cannot see or access the files except when guided by the host (sender). Recipients can open it only with an HTML5 player. Recipients of a Sync Review package will have a designated time/day to Review the assets with the host. Recipients will be guided through the Review of the assets as controlled by the host. They will be able to make real-time ‘drawing’ annotations on the assets while being reviewed.
In case this package type is selected there is no option available to do any settings or to set the download options for recipients.
Direct Download
It's the easiest way to share files when you know recipients only need to download the files, rather than take action in CORE.
2. Add Your Recipients and Message
Start typing a name or email address to prompt user list and user suggestions from CORE.
Select the names or hit enter/return to add the user or user list.
If the user is not in CORE and you have permission to add them in a package share, enter their email address. For more details go to Create new user via package share.
Either add your message now or after you've made your Settings and Download selections.
3. Choose Your Package Settings
When you select a package type, your settings and downloads will auto-default to selections appropriate for that package. They are summarized at the bottom on the Share Panel below your message, and can be overridden by selecting Edit next to the summary or by choosing the Settings tab.
Notifications:
Notify on Open - If this is set to ON , then the sender will get an email notification if the receiver opens a package.
Send emails - If this is set to ON, then the receiver gets a mail notification whenever a package has been shared.
Permissions:
Allow Forwarding - If this is ON, the recipients of the package will be able to forward or ‘reshare’ the package with other users within the system to that they have access to share with.
Modify Package - If this is ON, the recipients of the package will be able to add or remove additional files from it.
Playback
Review Mode - If this is set to ON, playback will default to review mode when shared. For more information about review, mode click here: CORE Sync review
Autoplay - If this is set to ON then files will sequentially autoplay as soon as the user opens the package
Group View - If this is set to ON, when the user opens the package, a group view of the assets will be displayed for playback.
Note: This is not applicable for Package share type Direct download
Restrictions on Package
Hide Users option - when turned ON, will hide users from each other on the package, users will not have the option to see other recipients on the package share.
Disable Comments - when turned ON, users will not have the option to comment on the package share.
Limit the number of Views -Click in the box and type the number of views you would like to restrict the recipient to.
Limit the number of Downloads - Click in the box and type the number of Downloads you’d like to restrict the recipient to (if the download is available to them).
Start Date and Time
Choose a Start Date and Start Time for a Package to be available to the recipient.
End Date and Time
Choose an End Date and End Time for a Package not to be available to the recipient.
Time Zone Differences on Start and End Dates
The time you choose is reflective of the Start Time/End Time in your timezone. When a user receives their package, the Time will be converted to the recipient’s own timezone.
For example:
If your browser is set to PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), and you set the Start Time to be 12:00AM, then the Start Time for someone in the UK will be 7:00AM BST (British Summer Time).
That user won’t see 12:00AM. They will see 7:00AM as their Start Time.
Furthermore, if you’re sending a package to 10 people all in different timezones the system will automatically reflect the time zone of each recipient based on their browser’s time zone or the time zone they are located in.
NOTE: This setting is not available on Sync Review packages.
4. Choose Package Download Settings
The Download options will also default to certain settings by package type. You can adjust those by selecting Edit in the summary, or by choosing the Download tab.
Certain download selections expand and have additional options, which are outlined below.
NOTE: The user who uploaded the file(s) is considered the owner of the file(s) and can share them with any download permissions that they choose.
Recipient Settings
This is the default option if the package type is selected as Standard. Each recipient will be able to download according to the permissions assigned to their User Role and set up by the Site Admin. For instance, some users may be viewed only and not be able to download at all, and others may be able to download with their watermark or download source files.
This setting is not available in case the package type is selected as 'Direct Download' and 'Review Mode'
View Only
All recipients will only be able to view the contents of the package, and will not be able to download them, regardless of their assigned permissions. It is set to default for package type Autoplay and Approvals.
The Recipient and View-only settings are not applicable where share package type is selected as 'Direct Download' and 'Review Mode' / 'Sync Review'.

This will used to set up a more protection on the PDF :
Low Security - Recipients are allowed to search within the PDF or they can copy and paste the text from the PDF .
