Updated over a year ago

To resolve this issue, you'll need to edit your Anti-malware (Emsisoft) settings

  1. Click on the "up" arrow on the bottom right of the screen near the weather area on the Start bar.

  2. Left click on the shield icon for Emsisoft

  3. Click on Settings -> Exclusions

  4. Add the path to asperaconnect\bin to both 'scanning' and 'monitoring'

  5. Add the binary in both 'scanning' and 'monitoring' areas for good measure

If Aspera is still not working, uninstall Aspera Connect. Then reinstall it by right clicking on the newly downloaded Aspera installation file -> Run As Administrator.
