Core’s DRM provider has changed the URLs of the associated licenses. On Aug 1, 2024 those URLs will no longer be supported, which will prohibit playback of assets.

Sohonet has reached out to the DRM provider to request an extension to better accommodate our clients and is waiting to hear back if that’s an option.

However, in anticipation of the provided deadline, the Core team has made a configuration change to update the URLs, which requires a deployment.

As a Core website user, you’ll experience no impact. The fix requires no downtime and will have no effect on your workflows.

As a Core mobile app or Apple TV user, if your device isn’t set to automatically update to the latest app version, you will need to update your apps manually. These will be:

As a Core Web user, you don’t need to do anything.

As a Core app user, prior to Aug 1, 2024, you or your assistant, team coordinator, or IT resource, will need to update your app to the latest version listed above, once it’s available in the store.
