The Core Apple TV 7.0 app release is a new Core app now found under Sohonet in the App Store. The old 5th Kind Core app will remain available, however, it will no longer be updated nor benefit from these changes.
The 7.0 app release requires clients to be on the Core 7.2 web version. It introduces a new branding and an updated login and registration workflow. For a shareable overview and linked instruction guides, see our Core 7.2 Release Guide and the Core Apple TV Guide.

5th Kind Core is now just Core with a new dark look on login.

New Splash Screen with Guided Assistance Tips
Improved Site Setup Flow
The first step in Apple TV setup and login, the UI provides clearer messaging for users logging in.
New Unified Login Page
The new login page offers three different login methods for users to accommodate their preferences:
A QR code for your mobile device where users can validate their Core account by logging in via their mobile browser
A browser link where users can validate their account via a browser in their device of choice
A manual login option where users can enter username and password directly in the app.
Logging in with MFA is supported for this option
SSO login is not supported for this option
For specific login instructions, see the Core Apple TV Guide.
MFA Setup Updates
If a new user manually logs in without first having set up their MFA, or if a returning user has recently requested a MFA reset, they can now re/connect their MFA application in the manual login workflow.
Additional support is forthcoming for QR and URL login options.
Improved Security for Shared Devices
During setup, users can now define whether or not the Apple TV they’re working from is a shared device.
When not shared, users can opt to enter a PIN for expedited access.
Shared devices will prompt the user to login via one of the three options.
Better Management and Visibility of Sites
For clients who have access to content in more than one Core site, multiple sites may be managed from the Apple TV. When logging in select the site, and proceed to login with your respective credentials.
