Asset Details Panel: Where to Find Your File Tags

Asset Details are tags associated with your files.

The Asset Details panel shows the tags associated with your package, asset groups and files.

What Does Asset Details Panel Show?

The Asset Details Panel displays the tags that have been applied to files in CORE by system users during the uploading process. These tags are different from the embedded metadata. A file's embedded metadata is shown in the File Info Panel when a single file is selected.

The Asset Details Panels displays the tags of a single asset or multiple assets. When multiple assets are selected, multiple tags may appear. A number is displayed next to a tag, which indicates how many files are associated with that tag.

C. View of Domain with multiple Tag Groups


Where to Find Asset Details

All Tags for a File are listed in Asset Details.

Asset Details on an Asset Group

  1. Select the Asset Group

  2. Go to the Asset Details icon in the Side Bar and select it

  3. The panel will open and show you the combined tags for all the Files in that Asset Group

Asset Details of a Package or Selection of Files

  1. Select the Files in Asset Viewer

  2. Go to the Asset Details icon in the Side Bar and select it

  3. The panel will open and show you the combined tags for all the selected Files

Asset Details of a Single File

  1. Select the File from File Search, you Search Results, or within the Asset Viewer / Package Viewer.

  2. Go to the Asset Details icon in the Side Bar and select it

  3. The panel will open to show you the Tag Values for your selected File

Where to Edit Tags on a File or Files

If you have edit capabilities on a file, you can edit file tags from the Asset Details Panel. In this case, you will see an Edit button at the top of the Asset Details Panel. Select this button to open the Tagging Panel.

Find File Specs

If you’re looking for the native file specifications associated with the original source file, go to File Info Panel.

See Who A File or Package Has Been Shared With

Go to the Recipients Panel, accessible via the Side Bar. If that icon is not available, you don’t have user permissions to see the Recipients.
