In this Article

How to Add, Edit, or Remove Tags on Assets

To change the tags on any asset, open the Asset Details panel, and click the Edit button.

In this example, we're changing specifically structural tags.

When the tagging panel is open, multiple tag groups at the top. In this example, we're in the Structure tag group.

  • Select one of the tag groups, such as File or Status shown here, to add or edit those tags.

You also may see more tag fields than are populated in the current tag details. Here Volume and Chapter did not appear on the Asset Details panel because they are not yet set.

  • Tag fields can be set with preset values, or left open and empty for you to add the values you need.

  • Sometimes fields are locked, meaning you must select from the provided menu.

  • When a field is unlocked, there's a + next to it, which means you can add new values.

  • In a tag field, start typing the tag value you want, and the list will refine to what you've typed.

In this example, we select 02 in the Volume field.

Once we click the Submit button the updated tag is visible on the Asset Details panel.

How to Change a Status Tag

Status tags are special type of tag. The values of a status tag are normally restricted by an admin, and then associated with specific colors. These colors show up in the package and file search so that these status tags can be quickly identified.

Status Tags can also be edited without opening a panel to edit all tags. This is particularly useful when a user has Status Manager enabled. When hovering over a status field, an edit icon will appear and open up a new drop down.

Once these statuses are changed, you can see both updated color stripes and updated tag info.
