Overview of Email Notifications in CORE
Updated over a week ago

There are a handful of notification types in CORE, the welcome email, package notifications, and file upload / ingest notifications. All notifications come as an email to the user's external email inbox. No notifications nor alerts are shown in CORE at this time.

In this article:

Account Notifications: 1. Welcome to CORE Invitation Email

What it is and who receives it

Every user who is set up through CORE and CORE with MFA receives a welcome invitation to the system. SSO users currently do not receive an invitation, and should be notified through internal company communications to access CORE via their SSO.

Can it be configured or edited

Admins can edit the welcome message in the Configure Emails module of the Admin dashboard. For instruction how to modify it, go to Customize My System's Welcome Email.

When is it triggered

The invite is automatically triggered when the user is added to the system.

For users who have a specific Start Date enabled on their account, they will also receive the invite email when their account is created versus on their Start Date.

  • Admins can trigger a new notification to users closer to their start dates with the Force Password Reset button on their user profile.

  • For large batches of users, it is recommended that their accounts are added closer to their start dates.
